The Problem
Great Place to Work® has over a hundred team members in multiple locations who are wonderfully diverse and dedicated to their mission. Their HR team has long recognized that to cover the wide range of needs and requests that all of their people have, they’d have to do their best to stretch their perks and employee offerings in a way that made business and financial sense. And like countless other companies around the world, the pandemic forced all of their employees to work remotely, which only compounded this growing challenge.
Prior to Compt, the way they were handling employee perks was:
A disparate, disjointed and manual process
Not consistently meeting the needs of their people in various locations
Not able to meet the needs of what their people were seeking on an individual level. Some wanted support for yoga or gym memberships and others were considering personal development coursework and others needed a little help at times with an emergency fund.

The Solution
Great Place to Work® now uses Compt to manage its custom perk stipend program called CARE4U.
Great Place to Work® introduced its CARE4U program in 2020 to all of its employees across its US and international locations so that employees could have access to funds to support them in a meaningful way, especially for emergencies and unexpected life events.
Great Place to Work® decided that for the first year, the CARE4U program’s total amount for each employee would be $5,000 USD. With Compt, this amount accrues automatically in each employee’s Compt account every month and they can use the funds whenever they choose as a flexible perk stipend in any of the follow categories:

The engagement is remarkably high and everyone raves about it when we have taken our own employee survey.
